Nokia SU-1B Digital Pen

March 18, 2008

Today I arrived home to Find a parcel had been delivered. It was a Nokia SU-1B
digital pen that I won in an auction on ebay last week. I’d been looking at the newer version, the SU-27W For a while but couldn’t justify spending £120 on something that
might turn out to be a novelty Item. I spotted this one in an auction with only a Few
hours to go so I placed a bid of £21 and won it. Once you have written on the special paper that it comes with its just a matter of dropping the pen in the cradle connected to a PC and any new data is sent to your computer. This is displayed as a handwritten image, which if you want to can then be converted into text. I’m writing this entry with the pen so I”ll soon find out soon how well it converts my handwriting.

———-The following it written with a regular keyboard————
It did a pretty good job of converting my handwriting, only a few mistakes and it didn’t understand the way I write my £. It does however put a return at the end of every line of hand written text, these I removed for this entry.
